I love this analysis, especially how you teased out the topics that have, to date, only been seen on the harder path. Incredibly useful for teachers and test takers alike. But is SOHCAHTOA really considered a difficult concept? ;)
Ha! That is an interesting point...it does usually show up fairly early on ACTs, so you could definitely make the argument that it's an easier concept. I do think it takes a bit of time to explain if students have never really understood it...but then again most students do know it by 11th grade, so I rarely have to teach it from scratch.
